When Anna Fariss, whose “Frozen” has been a box office smash for Disney since its inception in 2011, started promoting the show on Twitter in November, it quickly became the subject of a firestorm of criticism.
Some critics claimed the actress and the studio were exploiting her fame to monetize her brand, while others suggested Faris was simply being greedy.
In a follow-up interview with Vanity Fair, Faris responded to the controversy, saying she was just trying to promote her new movie, “Love Story,” and that she did not want to go against the Disney brand.
“I am an entrepreneur, and I want to make my money,” she said.
“It’s not like I am trying to get a piece of Disney’s pie.
“I don’t think this is a fight between a woman and a man. “
And I am a very big fan of Disney, so I will go out of my way to support their brands and their characters.”
“I don’t think this is a fight between a woman and a man.
It’s just, it’s like a big family.
And I think I am doing that. “
So I want everyone to feel comfortable and have a good time.
‘I don-t have a problem with you being a woman or being a girl, but I’m going to make sure you’re treated like the real woman.’ “
People should be able to say, ‘I’m not here to make money off my brand, and then they’re going to think I’m a woman trying to make a quick buck.

“This is a very important and important time in the history of the show. “
My name is Anna Farris, and if I were to be portrayed in a negative light, I would not do that,” she wrote.
“Funny, that would be a lot of work for a guy,” Faris said.”
Disney is a company that I’ve been a part of my whole life, so if I’m perceived negatively, I will not be here to back down from what I believe in.”
